LIRA-FEM 2025: New features

The links below provide information about the new features and improvements in this version:

Releases and update packages

We recommend using the most up-to-date version of our program. Below is the information on enhancements and fixes in each of the currently available update packages:

Important notes on the release

The LIRA-FEM version 2025 will use a different protection from Wibu-Systems AG, a German business. Two options are available:

  1. The software key (CodeMeter) - a stationary protection on a certain computer.

The licence is linked to the user's computer, which is convenient for working on one computer. It is possible to transfer the licence to another computer, but it will require a number of steps and will take some time. In the future, the licence will be stored in the cloud, which will simplify the transfer between devices. However, this option will not be available earlier than in a year.

  2. The hardware key - portable protection, not linked to a certain computer.

The licence is saved on a physical container (USB device, similar to a flash drive); it allows the user to work on different computers, as in previous versions.

Both types of keys - software and hardware - support network functions.

Read more about the new protection in the article CodeMeter keys. Protection for LIRALAND applications.

When you upgrade the software from LIRA-SAPR 2011 - LIRA-SAPR 2024 to the new version, LIRA-FEM 2025, you have to return or deactivate the previous protection keys and obtain the new ones. Users will have six months to finish their ongoing projects and switch to the updated software. You will have access to both the new LIRA-FEM 2025 and the prior LIRA-FEM / LIRA-FEM versions throughout this time.
Windows 7 and Windows 8 are no longer supported

Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 will no longer be supported by LIRA-FEM 2025 as of January 10, 2025. The LiraLand Support Team is unable to ensure that programs run correctly on these outdated operating systems and will not offer technical support to users of these systems.

All users of Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 are strongly encouraged to update their PCs.

32-bit operating systems are no longer supported

Supporting an architecture that is technically out of date restricts us since we waste time and resources that we could use to advance the project. Starting with LIRA-FEM 2025, it will no longer be possible to run 32-bit applications. They are excluded from the installation package.
