Reinforced concrete structures design in LIRA-FEM, namely the selection of theoretical reinforcement, is performed according to the following procedure:

  • Setting the parameters of materials (concrete and reinforcement) and the calculated characteristics of the element;
  • Setting calculation parameters, such as the normative document according to which the calculation is performed; as well as which effort is taken for calculation (DCF or DCL);
  • Calculation of rebar selection.

Reinforcement selection can be performed for all elements in model or for one specific element in the local reinforcement mode.

Pilot reinforcement in the software for reinforced concrete design

Checking of pilot reinforcement in LIRA-FEM allows to specify predefined reinforcement in bar and plate elements of the structure. The result of this check is the bearing capacity factor in each element.
