Training Course: LIRA-FEM for beginners
Analysis and design of structures in LIRA-FEM software. This course will provide you with basic skills in LIRA-FEM and SAPFIR software. You will be able to carry out analyses of building structures.

Overview
In this course, the teacher will tell and show the basics of using the LIRA-FEM software and answer your questions. After each lesson you will receive tasks for homework. After completing the course you will receive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in LIRA-FEM and SAPFIR software.
Prerequisites
Prior knowledge of structural analysis and design will help you complete our sessions with more ease.
Course curriculum
Introduction to the interface. Beam modeling in LIRA-FEM and SAPFIR. Statical analysis and results view. We will also consider such concepts as Model type, Edit load cases.
In this lesson we will be modeling a truss and performing the static calculation and construction. Introduction to the STC-SAPR system. We will consider the concepts of DCF and DCL.
In this lesson we will be modeling a 2D reinforced concrete frame and perform its statical analysis and design. Introduction to the opportunity of multivariant design and the LARM-SAPR system. We will consider the results of reinforcement selection in columns and beams for different building codes.
In this lesson we will be modeling a steel 3D frame and perform its statical analysis, seismic analysis and design.
In this lesson we will be modeling a multi-story building in SAPFIR-3D. We will consider creation of the model, procedure of loads setting. We will set the parameters for analysis and perform export to the Lira-SAPR. We also will perform the design of slab and release the drawings.
Software
The sessions mainly focus on the use of LIRA-FEM & SAPFIR Structural analysis software.
