Training Course: LIRA-SAPR for intermediate users
Structural engineering software LIRALAND Group
Prerequisites: working knowledge of Course 1 (LIRA-SAPR for elementary users).
Duration: 5 days.
Curriculum
- General principles and methods of composing 3D design models:
-
- to carry out analysis of structures by the following pattern: overground structures – foundation structures – soil (pile) foundations;
- to define hinges in bars and plate elements;
- to unify local axes in plate elements;
- to present design model in 3D view mode;
- to use perfectly rigid bodies (PRB). - Local coordinate system of nodes demonstrated with analysis of cylindrical tank.
- How to deal with load cases, design combinations of forces (DCF), design combinations of loads (DCL).
- Analysis of reinforcement and evaluation of analysis results in the mode of reinforced concrete (RC) and steel structures:
-
- to carry out analysis of reinforcement using design options (different building codes, material properties) and evaluate the output data;
- to design beam and obtain drawing;
- to design column and obtain column;
- to define and apply structural elements (STE) and unify bars;
- to set the colour palette for analysis results of reinforcement. - Local mode of reinforcement (analysis of reinforcement and check for the specified reinforcement according to ultimate limit states in bars and plate elements).
- Analysis of steel structures and evaluation of analysis results in the mode of reinforced concrete (RC) and steel structures:
-
- to deal with design options (different building codes, material properties);
- to obtain results for selection and check of sections of steel bars;
- to define and apply structural elements (STE) and unify bars;
- to analyse simple and compound parametric steel joints. - Local mode for analysis of steel structures.
- How to use certain systems and additional special solvers:
-
- DOCUMENTER – to generate input and output data files in table and graphical from;
- LITERA – to calculate principal and equivalent stresses in finite elements of the model;
- STABILITY – to carry out stability analysis;
- FRAGMENT – to calculate loads on selected nodes from the rest part of the model by load combinations;
- SRS-SAPR – to edit steel table of rolled and cold-formed shapes;
- SB-SAPR – to generate sections of arbitrary shape and calculate their axial, flexural, torsion and shear properties;
- STB-SAPR – to generate geometry of nonstandard thin-walled sections of elements and calculate their stiffness properties;
- SOIL – to automatically generate soil model by specified geological properties and calculate calculate moduli of subgrade reaction of soil. - Dynamic analysis of 3D systems (wind pulsation and earthquake load based on response spectrum analysis by accelerograms).
+ 2 hours of practical skills per day.
