The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine invites professionals to take part in a short survey open until August 25, 2025. The goal is to assess the readiness for the implementation of Eurocodes in structural design and to define priority support measures for designers.
The transition to the European Union's regulatory framework is a key step towards Ukraine’s integration into the EU, as outlined in the Association Agreement. In particular, it involves the adoption of European construction standards — the Eurocodes.
Currently, Ukraine uses the first generation of Eurocodes, adopted between 2010 and 2013 as national standards (DSTU-N). Their application is governed by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated May 23, 2011, No. 547 “On approval of the Procedure for the application of building codes developed based on national technological traditions and those harmonized with EU regulatory documents.”
The European Committee for Standardization (CEN) plans to finalize the development of the second generation of Eurocodes by March 30, 2026, replacing the earlier version (2002–2007). Full implementation across EU countries is expected by March 30, 2028.
Survey deadline: August 25, 2025.
Among the engineering software solutions that already support Eurocodes, LIRA-FEM stands out — a structural analysis and design system with built-in support for relevant European standards. This enables engineers to efficiently adapt to Eurocode requirements even before the transition is fully enforced.
