The book considers peculiarities in behaviour of multi-storey buildings, possible variants of structural solutions, suggestions on generation of design models. Simulation of service life of a structure is discussed. Theory of finite element method is presented briefly from the point of view of engineer that evaluates the relevance of obtained solution. In this book you will also find some advice on how to generate finite element models. The main stages of computer-aided design of multi-storey buildings with MONOMAKH software are described.
