Heat Transfer Analysis
Let us consider an example of analysis of heat transfer of a brick house external wall.
Picture 8. Wall section
We create a model in the Model type 15, which exists exactly to evaluate the heat transfer analysis. Let’s consider a section of the wall one meter long.

STEP 2. Creating the CONVECTIVE elements
To define the air temperature, we create bar elements on the internal and external surfaces of the wall, and change their type for FE type No.1555.

STEP 3. MATERIAL PROPERTIES
Let's define the corresponding thermal conductivity coefficients K on the wall layers. The values of Specific heat C and Density R0 are not used in the steady-state analysis, therefore they can be defined as equal to units.
Picture 12. Material properties of the corresponding wall layers
For the convective elements we also create the stiffness, and define there the heat transfer coefficients (film coefficients) for the internal and external layers:

STEP 4. EXTERNAL LOAD
Using the external load, we apply the air temperature on the convective elements. Therefore, in the Loads we open convective heat transfer and define the temperature for the internal and external sides of the wall.
